For common questions, see our FAQ section:

Can the M.R.C-2350-CI paint glass edges?

Yes and no. There will always be some minimal over-spray on the glass edges, but it is impossible to paint them completely. In case clean edges are a necessity, they must be masked prior to painting.

Can the M.R.C-2350-CI paint more than one piece at a time? What about glass with holes?

The machine’s sensors can automatically detect the edges of the glass plate, so painting of several plates at a time is easy. The machine's sensors will automatically detect the glass, and the paint gun will only paint over the glass surface and not over the space between the glasses or the holes. This saves an incredible amount of paint!!

Does the M.R.C-2350-CI have an integrated extraction system?

Of course. The M.R.C. 2530 CI comes with a blower with 4 bags. The filter fan is activated from the PLC monitor. Upon activation, fumes and residue are extracted from the residue collection area into the connection hose. The hose leads them to the fan unit which is connected to the cloth bags. Due to an integrated extraction system that removes fumes into a dust collector unit, the machine can be placed anywhere in the factory, with absolutely no need for a clean room and operator masks.

Do I need special accessories for specific types of paint?

For ceramic glass painting you will need our ceramic paint kit [link]. This kit contains a special ceramic paint tank with an integral mixer and a special spray gun suitable for ceramic paint.

How many square meters of glass can be painted per hour? At what speed?

This depends on the type of paint used and the required end result. Here are a few parameters that influence the amount/speed:

What about over-spray on the transport belts?

The overspray landing on the transport belts is very minor and does not affect the clean side of the glass once the piece is painted. The paint dries before the belt makes the cycle to touch the glass again. We instruct our customers to clean the belts after each daily work shift. It's easy - just hold a damp cloth with cleaning material and run the conveyer belts at the same time.

What is the difference between automatic and semi-automatic modes in the M.R.C-2350 CI?

Automatic mode refers to glass size detection by sensors, enabling the designation of a specific area for painting. In semi-automatic mode, the machine operator will enter the requested painting area width via the machine's touch screen.

What is the down time between color/paint changes?

Thanks to our automatic cleaning system and simple-to-use touch screen interface, no more than a few minutes are needed between different colors or paint types.

What size glass can be painted with the M.R.C. 2350-CI?

A minimum 300mm width/740mm length glass can be painted without support and a maximum size of 1.7m width (in automatic mode) or 1.8m (in semi-automatic mode). The machine can paint pieces at any length, as long as the glass has external supports such as catering tables (supplied by the client, note that support will be painted as well).

What type of paint does the M.R.C-2350-CI support?

Any organic or ceramic paint will work. If it can be sprayed, our machine can do it better, quicker and with reduced paint consumption. This includes ceramic frit, metallic, water base and solvent base, epoxy, silicone base, etc.

Our team is always ready to help out with any issue you may have.
